First AidHealth & Safety
POA

First Aid in the workplace can save lives. First Aid training can prevent a minor problem escalating into a major problem. This of course not only safeguards your employees health and well being but can also reduce the costs to your business by reducing costs of an injury. Our first aid courses give people the confidence and training required that could help save a life. Employers have a legal obligation under the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 to provide suitable first-aid equipment, facilities and personnel to enable immediate assistance to be given to staff if they are injured or become ill at work. This includes training staff in the appropriate first aid skills. All our First Aid courses meet the requirements of the HSE. Our training courses are instructed by trained professionals from the health care sector who have the skill sets and qualifications to train your staff to perhaps one day save a life. Our courses are a mixture of theory and hands on which we believe makes our training courses not only effective but also enjoyable.

Face Fit Testing- Operator Training

General SafetyHealth & Safety
POA

FACE FIT OPERATOR TRAINING – COURSE OVERVIEW The face fit operator training covers the following: Introduction to Qualitative Face Fit Testing Discussion of Filter Types and their uses Donning of disposable and reusable RPE Maintenance requirements of reusable RPE Understanding the Face Fit Testing Kit Qualitative vs. Quantitative Face Fit Testing Requirements for successful face fits Interactions of other PPE with RPE Cost analysis of various RPE options Talk through record keeping along with provision of templates Practical Theory Test It would also be useful if they bring along any masks they or their staff regularly use so these can be covered. Attendees can optionally purchase a face fit testing kit. If they would like to do this they should buy the 3M FT-30 Bitter Qualitative Face Fit Test Kit. They can bring this along with them on the day. The training course only covers half-face masks. Full-face masks cannot be tested with the method trained on. For those who are attending for a face-fit test. They must be clean-shaven that day, failure to do so will result in them being turned away. They should come with the masks they use (if disposable this should be a new mask and enough for 1 per person, if reusable the mask must be clean. Any mask used for asbestos works must be spotless and with new filters). Recommendations on masks: For disposable: The 3M 8833 FFP3 R D lasts for up to a week making it one of the cheapest masks going with a very high pass-rate and an ability to work very well with safety spectacles. For reusable: The Sundstrom SR 100 M/L P3 R is by far the best.
